School Counseling Services

Our department is committed to ensuring all students have access to the resources that promote their success and are celebrated for their authentic contributions to our school community.

School counselors are vital members of the education team found in each Baker School District 5J building. School counselors assist all students in the areas of academic achievement, personal/social development, and career development.  School counselors provide short-term individual counseling, group counseling, and guidance curriculum lessons. They also serve as a student advocate on a variety of teams and committees.  School counselors help connect students and their families to a variety of community resources.  Each school counselor holds a counseling license through TSPC. The minimum education requirement for this license is a master’s degree in school counseling.

Contact your student’s school counselor by calling your student’s school.  School phone numbers are located on the school webpage, staff page, or school directory.
